Zodiac Baracuda Wheel Deflecter, 12 in, W83278

The Zodiac W83278 is the 12 inch wheel deflecter for Baracuda suction side pool cleaners. It is the molded plastic disc that rides around the cleaner and meets obstacles before the cleaner body does.

Why it wears out

This part exists to take abuse. Every wall, step, ladder leg and main drain the cleaner runs into gets hit by the deflecter first, hundreds of times a week. Plastic that is cycled that hard in sunlight and chlorinated water eventually cracks, and a piece breaking away is normal service life rather than a defect.

Fitment

It is listed for the Baracuda G2, G3 and G4, and for the Alpha and Beta cleaners. Baracuda uses more than one deflecter diameter across its range, so measure the part on your cleaner and confirm it is the 12 inch size before you order.
