Waterway Complete Vinyl Skimmer, Standard, Grey, 540-8407

This is the Waterway 540-8407, the complete standard vinyl skimmer in grey. It arrives as the full unit rather than as a collection of replacement pieces.

Vinyl versus concrete skimmers

A vinyl skimmer is built to seal against a liner wall, with the face plate and gasket arrangement that a liner installation needs. It is not interchangeable with a skimmer designed to be poured into a concrete shell, so match the type to the pool before ordering.

When a complete unit is the right call

Lids, baskets and weirs are all replaceable on their own, and if that is all that has failed, buy the piece. A complete skimmer is what you want when the body itself is cracked or split. Water escaping behind a liner is difficult to trace and expensive to ignore, and patching a broken skimmer body rarely holds. This unit is listed in grey with a 2 inch inground plumbing connection, so check both against what is on the pool now.
