Waterway Back Mount Pressure Gauge 830-4000SS

The Waterway 830-4000SS is the back mount pressure gauge used on Waterway filters. It is the genuine Waterway replacement.

Back mount, not side mount

The threaded stem exits the back face of the gauge. That is what back mount means, and it matters, because a filter drilled for a back mount gauge will not take a side mount one. Look at how the old gauge sits before you order.

Why a working gauge matters

A filter is not cleaned on a schedule, it is cleaned when pressure has risen a set amount above its clean starting point. If the gauge is stuck, reading zero or fogged with water behind the lens, that reference is gone and you are cleaning on guesswork, which usually means either running dirty or tearing the filter down more often than needed. Waterway lists this gauge for the Crystal Water and ClearWater II cartridge and DE filters.
