Waterway 2″ MPT Plug with O-Ring, 400-6650

The Waterway 400-6650 is a two inch male threaded plug supplied with its o-ring, in white. It closes off a 2 inch port on filter, pump and plumbing bodies.

The o-ring does the work

Threads locate the plug, but the o-ring is what stops the water. A ring that has gone hard or picked up a nick will weep no matter how far the plug is turned, which is what leads people to keep tightening until something cracks. A plug with a fresh o-ring seals with far less force.

A note on the thread

The manufacturer information describes this plug as MPT in one place and NPT in another. Both readings point to the same two inch male thread, but if your application depends on the exact designation, check the port before you order.
