Sta-Rite Air Bleed Tube (PTM100), 25010-0008

This is the Sta-Rite 25010-0008 air bleed tube listed for the PTM100 cartridge filter in the Posi-Flo II PTM range. It is the internal tube that gives trapped air a route out of the tank.

What it does

Air that comes into the system through a leaking suction line or after a cartridge clean collects at the highest point inside the filter dome. The bleed tube reaches up into that space so the air can travel to the manual relief valve on top of the lid. Open the valve and the air goes first, water follows, and the tank is full again. Take the tube away and the air has nowhere to go: it sits in the dome, cuts down the working area of the cartridges, and the relief valve spits water while the filter still sounds hollow.

Before you order

The Posi-Flo II PTM parts breakdown covers several tank sizes, and internal tube lengths follow the tank. This part is listed for the PTM100, so check your model number on the tank label rather than working from the family name.
