Rocky’s Reel Systems #4 “A” Frame

This is Rocky’s Reel Systems part 531, the #4 A frame, listed among the parts and accessories for Rocky’s Easy Rollers reel systems.

What it is

The A frame is the upright support at the end of a cover reel. The reel tube sits in it and turns on it, which means the frame carries the entire load of the tube and whatever cover is wound onto it, plus whatever the wind does to that cover on a bad day. It is the part that bends, and on older reels it is the part that corrodes at the foot where it meets the deck.

Getting the right one

Rocky’s number their frames, and this is the #4. Frame sizes are not interchangeable, and neither are reel parts between different manufacturers, so check the number stamped or listed on your existing frame and confirm the reel is a Rocky’s system before ordering.
