Pleatco Filter Cartridge Compatible with Hayward CX800RE, 75 Sq Ft, PA80

The Pleatco PA80 is a cartridge compatible with the Hayward CX800RE, carrying 75 square feet of filter media. It measures 8-1/2 inch outside diameter and 17-3/8 inch long, with 4 inch open holes at both ends and a molded gasket on each.

The media

Pleatco uses its Advanced Point Bonded filtration fabric at 4 ounces per square yard. Point bonding holds the pleats apart so water passes through the full 75 square feet instead of the fabric collapsing onto itself under flow.

Fitment

The listing names the Hayward Star-Clear II C800 and C1500. Parts listings for this cartridge also cover the Star-Clear II C1100. The reliable check is the number on the element already in the tank: if it reads CX800RE, this cartridge is compatible.
