Pleatco 20 sq ft Replacement Filter Cartridge, PSANT20P3

The Pleatco PSANT20P3 is a 20 square foot replacement filter cartridge with a 4-3/4 inch outside diameter, listed for Softsider Spas and Strong Industries spa filters.

Matching the cartridge

Spa cartridges are chosen by fit, not by brand name on the cabinet. The two numbers that matter most are the media area, 20 square feet here, and the outside diameter, 4-3/4 inches. Pull the old cartridge and measure it before ordering, since spas from the same manufacturer often changed filters between model years.

Getting the life out of it

Rinse the pleats out regularly and give the cartridge a proper chemical soak when a rinse stops making a difference. Oils and scale, not dirt, are what usually kill a spa cartridge. When cleaning no longer restores flow, or the pleats stay discolored and the fabric feels brittle, the media has had its life and it is time for a new one. Running a second cartridge in rotation lets each one dry completely between uses and stretches both.
