This is the tan deck lid for the model U-3 skimmer, sold under the Pentair, Sta-Rite and SwimQuip names. It carries part number 08650-0158 and measures 9-7/8 inches across.

Why lids fail

A skimmer lid sits flush in the deck and takes years of direct sun, pool chemicals and foot traffic. The plastic goes chalky, then brittle, and eventually a heel or a piece of deck furniture puts a crack through it. A cracked lid is worth changing quickly, both because someone can step through it and because the opening is no longer covered.

Getting the right one

Skimmer lids are one of the easiest parts to order wrong, since a dozen models use a round lid of roughly the same size. Measure the outside diameter of the old lid and check it against the 9-7/8 inches listed here. This one is the tan version; the white lid for the same skimmer is a separate part.
