Pentair Bumper for Great White Pool Cleaner, GW9502

The GW9502 is the bumper for the Great White pool cleaner. It is the plastic factory part, the piece that takes the contact every time the cleaner meets a wall, a step or a light niche.

Why it wears

A cleaner spends its whole working life bumping into things on purpose. That is how it changes direction. The bumper is the sacrificial part in that arrangement, and after enough seasons it splits, thins out or breaks away. Once it is gone the cleaner shell is doing the job instead, which marks pool surfaces and shortens the life of the cleaner.

Model numbers to check

The source material is not consistent about which Great White this belongs to. The product note names the GW9000 model, while the parts diagram it sits under is the Sta-Rite Great White GW9500. Both Pentair and Sta-Rite appear as the brand. The part number GW9502 is constant, so match that against your cleaner before ordering.
