Pentair Automatic Cleaner Adapter for 185 Leaf Eater, R18510

Pentair R18510 is the automatic cleaner adapter for the 185 Leaf Eater. It carries a 3/4 inch male hose thread on one end and a quick disconnect on the other, and it is also cataloged under the number 185-10.

What it solves

The hose you have and the inlet on the vacuum are not the same fitting. This adapter is the piece that joins them. Without it the connection either cannot be made or gets forced, and a forced hose joint on the suction side leaks air or blows apart under flow.

The two ends

The threaded side is a standard 3/4 inch male hose thread, the same connection used across garden hose fittings. The other side is a quick disconnect, so the hose can be pulled off and put back without unscrewing anything each time the vacuum is set up or stored.
