Midwest Canvas 18′ x 36′ Rectangular Spaceage Solar Cover, 8 Mil

This is the 18 ft by 36 ft rectangular Spaceage solar cover in 8 mil, Blue/Silver. It is a heat retention blanket rather than a safety or winter cover.

How it heats

The underside is covered in thermal bubbles. During the day the Blue/Silver Spaceage surface lets solar energy through to the water, and at night and on cool cloudy days the bubbles hold that heat in instead of letting it evaporate away. Midwest Canvas rates the gain at up to 15 degrees F.

Built to last a few seasons

At 8 mil this is the heavier gauge, and the material is UV protected so it holds up under full summer sun rather than flaking apart after one year. It carries a 5 year warranty.

Sizing

It is cut as an 18 ft by 36 ft rectangle. Solar covers are commonly trimmed on site to follow the pool edge, so measure the water surface rather than the deck before you cut.
