Jack’s Magic Power Blue Scale Off, 1 Gallon Bottle, JMPBSCALEOFF128

Jack’s Magic Power Blue Scale Off is a scale remover supplied here in a one gallon bottle. It is aimed at calcium carbonate scale and at efflorescence.

The problem it solves

Calcium scale is one of the more stubborn maintenance problems around a pool. It builds as a hard white crust on tile, stone and waterlines, and efflorescence pushes white crystalline deposits out through grout, coping and raised bond beams. Neither responds to normal cleaning, and scrubbing hard enough to shift them often damages the surface underneath.

What to expect

The product is rated to remove roughly 2 to 4 mils of scale per application. That is a real number worth planning around: a light haze may clear in one pass, while years of hard water buildup will take repeated applications rather than one aggressive attempt. The manufacturer describes it as environmentally friendly.

Handling

Follow the label directions and the safety data sheet for dilution, contact time and personal protection. A quart bottle of the same product is available for smaller areas.
