Hayward TriVac Hose Filter Kit, TVX7000HFA-01

The Hayward TVX7000HFA-01 is the hose filter kit for the TriVac 500 and TriVac 700 automatic pool cleaners. It is the genuine Hayward part.

Why the hose filter matters

The TriVac runs on water fed to it through the hose, and the filter in that line is what keeps grit and debris out of the cleaner. A filter that has loaded up restricts the flow, and a cleaner short on flow slows down, covers less of the pool, and can stop climbing walls altogether. Owners often chase the cleaner itself when the restriction is upstream in the hose.

Servicing it

Check the filter whenever the cleaner is moving less water than you remember. Rinse it if it will come clean, and fit a new kit once it will not. It is a low cost part that sits in the hose line, so replacing it does not mean opening up the cleaner.
