Hayward SharkVAC Clear Dome Window, RCX97421

The Hayward RCX97421 is the clear dome window for the SharkVAC robotic pool cleaner, model RC9740. It is the original Hayward OEM part.

What it is

The dome window is the transparent panel on the top of the cleaner body. It is there so you can see into the machine without opening it, which is how most owners judge whether the cleaner needs emptying.

Why it needs replacing

Clear plastic in a chlorinated pool takes a beating from both the chemistry and the sun. It goes cloudy first, so the window stops telling you anything useful, and it eventually crazes or cracks. A cracked panel is worth acting on quickly, since it stops keeping grit out of the body.

Hayward notes the part may fit other cleaner models as well as the RC9740, so check your own parts breakdown if your SharkVAC carries a different model number.
