Hayward Pressure Switch, CZ Model, CHXPRS1931

The Hayward CHXPRS1931 is the CZ model pressure switch. It is catalogued with the Hayward ComfortZone CPS and CPSE parts covering models 520 through 1820.

What it does

A pressure switch is a permission. The control watches it and holds the unit off until the switch confirms that pressure is in range. That protects the equipment from running under conditions it should not run in, and it is why a failed switch presents as a unit that simply will not start.

Before you order

Hayward uses more than one pressure switch across its heating products. Pull the old one, read the number on it, and confirm it is CHXPRS1931 rather than ordering from the model name alone.
