Hayward OEM Replacement XStream Pool Filter Cartridge, 150 Sq Ft (CC 1500 E), CCX1500RE

The Hayward CCX1500RE is the 150 square foot replacement cartridge element for XStream cartridge filters, also seen listed as CC 1500 E. It is the genuine Hayward element.

Size and fit

The cartridge measures 9 inches in outside diameter by 23-5/16 inches tall. Hayward lists it against the XStream full-flow cartridge element models CC10092S, CC100922S, CC10092SFT, CC10092STL, CC15093S, CC150932S, CC15093DTL, CC15093STL and CC1500, so check the model plate on your tank against that list.

When to change it

Cleaning an element brings flow back, but the media itself wears. Once the filter cycles get noticeably shorter and the water stays slightly hazy even after a thorough clean, the cartridge has stopped catching the fine material it used to. A fresh element restores both the clarity and the length of the cycle.
