Hayward Hose Adapter 1-1/2″ Elbow Barb, SPX1105Z4

The Hayward SPX1105Z4 is the genuine elbow hose adapter with a 1-1/2 inch barb, listed for select Hayward Perflex, Sand Master and Swim Pro filters. It threads into the filter and gives the hose a barbed connection at an angle.

Why the elbow matters

Above ground plumbing is short and the hose usually has to turn as soon as it leaves the filter. With a straight adapter that turn happens in the hose itself, which kinks it and puts constant side load on the fitting. The elbow makes the turn in rigid plastic instead, so the hose leaves straight and the connection is not fighting it.

Before ordering

Hayward used more than one adapter across these filter families. Take the old fitting out and compare the threaded end and the barb before you order, so you know this is the one your filter takes.
