Hayward AXV413P Pod Shoes, Vinyl, 4 Pack

The Hayward AXV413P is the vinyl specification pod shoe, supplied four to a pack. It is the genuine Hayward part for the Pool Vac and Navigator suction cleaner families.

What a shoe does

The shoes are the small plastic feet the cleaner actually walks on. They take all the abrasion so the pod does not, and they wear down steadily on any surface. Once they are past their step the pod sits lower than it should, drag goes up and the cleaner starts stalling, wandering or missing sections of the floor. Replacing them is one of the cheapest ways to make an older cleaner behave again.

Fit the right version

Hayward makes shoes in separate vinyl and concrete or desert specifications, because a liner and a plaster surface wear them differently. This is the vinyl one. Match the version your machine came with rather than mixing them, and change all four together, since a set that wears at one rate is what keeps the pod level.
