Hayward Aquadroid Skimmer Adapter Cone, AXV093BP

The Hayward AXV093BP is the skimmer adapter cone for the Aquadroid, AquaBug, Diver Dave and Wanda Whale automatic pool cleaners. It is the genuine Hayward part.

What it does

These are suction side cleaners: they run on the pull from the skimmer line. The adapter cone is the piece that connects the cleaner hose to the skimmer so that suction reaches the cleaner rather than leaking away at the joint.

Why it wears out

The cone is handled every time the cleaner goes in or comes out, and it sits in chlorinated water in between. Over the years it cracks or loses its grip on the hose. When that happens the cleaner slows, wanders or stops climbing, and the cone is the cheapest thing to rule out first.
