Hayward 2″ x 4″ Gutter Drain Grate with Screws, SP1019BA

The Hayward SP1019BA is a 2 in by 4 in gutter drain grate, supplied with its mounting screws. It is the genuine Hayward replacement top for a drain of that size.

What it does

The grate is the only thing between the deck and the drain line. It lets water through while holding back leaves, grit and anything else that would otherwise wash into the pipe and pack it solid.

When to replace it

Grates crack underfoot, go brittle in the sun and get lost during deck work. A missing one is worth replacing right away: debris starts entering the line immediately, and an open rectangle in a wet deck is the kind of thing a bare foot finds.
