Hayward 2″ SKT Dark Gray Return Fitting for Vinyl Pools, SP1408S2DGR

The Hayward SP1408S2DGR is a return fitting for vinyl pools with a 2 inch socket connection, finished in dark gray. It is the wall port that filtered water passes back through on its way into the pool.

Where it fits

The fitting is built for a vinyl lined wall and takes 2 in pipe on the socket side. Dark gray is the DGR variant in the part number, which is the choice when the liner pattern or the surrounding trim is dark rather than white.

What it does for circulation

Returns are the last step in the loop. Water leaves the skimmer and main drain, moves through the pump, the filter and any heater or sanitizer, then comes back to the pool through fittings like this one. A cracked or leaking return is worth changing promptly, because it sits on the pressure side and will keep pushing water behind the liner.
