Hayward 1-1/2″ Union Male Thread, Black, SP1480BLK

The Hayward SP1480BLK is a 1-1/2 inch union with a male thread connection, in black. It is the genuine Hayward part.

What a union buys you

A union is a threaded joint that comes apart. Fitted at a pump, filter or heater, it means the equipment can be unbolted and lifted off the pad for service or replacement without cutting pipe and gluing new fittings back in. Fitting unions on both sides of a piece of equipment is what makes future work a ten minute job instead of a repipe.

Size and connection

This is the 1-1/2 inch size with a male thread, the common residential pool equipment size. It is supplied in black to match black Hayward equipment ports and fittings.
