CMP Equalizer Suction, VGB, 1-1/2 Inch MIP, Gray, 25207-801-000

The CMP 25207-801-000 is an equalizer suction fitting in gray, with a 1-1/2 inch MIP connection, carrying the VGB suction outlet rating.

What the equalizer does

An equalizer is a second suction port set into the pool wall below the skimmer. If the water level drops below the skimmer mouth, the skimmer would otherwise pull air and the pump would lose prime. The equalizer keeps a supply of water reaching the pump instead.

Fitting and finish

The 1-1/2 inch MIP thread lets the fitting screw straight into a matching female connection at the wall. This is the gray version; the same fitting is sold in white under its own part number, so pick the one that matches the rest of your wall fittings.

On the rating

Suction outlet fittings are a safety item, not a cosmetic one. This fitting carries the VGB rating, which is what a replacement suction fitting needs to have.
