Which pumps it serves

How the two speeds work

High speed is 3450 rpm and is switchless. Low speed is 1725 rpm and runs through a microswitch. Running low for daily turnover and reserving high speed for vacuuming or backwashing is where a two speed motor earns its keep.

Construction and dimensions

It is a permanent split capacitor motor with sealed ball bearings at both ends, a rolled steel frame and a drip proof enclosure, with a 1.3 service factor. The shaft is 7/16 in threaded 303 stainless steel, 0.625 in in diameter with a 2.57 in extension. Overall length is 13.05 in over an 8.00 in frame, which is the measurement to check against the old motor.
