Century 1.5 HP 230V 56Y Square Flange Motor, B2849

The Century B2849 is a 1.5 horsepower pool pump motor rated for 230 volts, built on a 56Y frame with a square flange and open drip proof construction.

Matching the motor

A pump motor swap comes down to four numbers: horsepower, voltage, frame and flange. This one is 1.5 HP, 230V, 56Y and square flange. Read the label on the motor being removed and check all four before ordering, since a motor that is close but not identical will not mount or wire the same way.

Open drip proof

ODP is the open enclosure used on most residential pool pumps. It relies on airflow through the motor for cooling, so keep the vents clear and the motor out of standing water once it is installed.
