Hayward Tie Rod, C800, CX800Z2

The Hayward CX800Z2 is the tie rod listed for the C800. It is the genuine Hayward part.

What it does

A tie rod is the threaded rod that pulls a filter assembly together and holds the internals in position once the tank is buttoned up. If it corrodes, bends or strips, the assembly cannot be clamped up square, and that shows as leaks, movement inside the tank or a filter that will not seal.

Where it is listed

CX800Z2 appears in the Hayward Star-Clear II C800, C1100 and C1500 cartridge filter parts listing, in the Star Clear Plus C751, C900, C1200, C1750 and C1900 listing, and in the Pro Grid DE separation tank DE-900 and DE-1100 listing. Tie rod lengths differ between filter sizes, so check the part number against the listing for your exact filter before ordering.
